Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Farm+ Dictionary mobile app and website (together, the "Service") collect and how they use it. The Service is a free bilingual (English–Burmese) agriculture dictionary.
1. Using the dictionary needs no account
You can search and read every term without signing in. The term list is saved on your device so the dictionary works offline. We do not collect your searches, and the Service contains no advertising or tracking software.
2. Information we collect if you sign in
Signing in is optional and only needed to send suggestions. If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google:
- your name and email address, and your Google account's unique identifier;
- whether your email address is verified.
We never receive your Google password. Sign-in is handled by Google and Firebase Authentication (Google LLC).
3. Contributions you send
When you submit a new term, a regional variation, or a suggested edit, we store what you wrote together with your account identifier and the time. Moderators review it. Approved content may be published in the dictionary. Published dictionary content does not show who suggested it.
4. How we use information
- to let you sign in and send suggestions;
- to review, approve or reject suggestions and to contact you about them if needed;
- to prevent abuse of the suggestion feature.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Where information is stored and who processes it
Account and contribution data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Google acts as our service provider. The offline term list and any suggestions waiting to be sent are stored in an encrypted database on your device.
6. Sponsored link
The Settings screen shows a banner promoting the Farm+ mobile app. Tapping it opens an external link that may redirect to the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive information from that tap beyond what those services provide to link owners.
7. Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → "Delete my account". This permanently removes your sign-in. Suggestions you already sent are kept by the editorial team without a link to your sign-in.
- Other requests (access, correction, or removal of a specific suggestion): contact us at the address below.
- You can use the dictionary without signing in at all.
8. Children
The Service is a general reference tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be shown in the app.
